Start Price USD 500.00 Current Price USD 500.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price USD 600.00 Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, November 13, 2008 End Time Sunday, November 23, 2008 Location Lehi, Utah See more about 'PIANO TUNING' Description Hello, my name is Paul Berg.  The past 5 years me and my family (my wife and 5 kids) have endured my struggles with cancer.  Five years ago I was diagnosed with squamous cell cancer on my mouth and underwent 2 major surgeries to remove the cancer and reconstruct my mouth.  Last year it returned as a 2 inch tumor below my jaw.  I underwent an emergency surgery and had it removed.  Three months later it returned again, this time with more vengence.  A 1 inch tumor that had eaten through my jaw (right mandible) and had gotten into the bone.  Now considered stage 4 oral cancer my doctor ordered another emergency surgery.  An eight hour surgery with 4 teams of doctors to remove my jaw bone and replace it with my left fibula.  The first surgeries in 2004 were without any medical insurance.  We had to sell everything we had and move into a 2 room basement apartment... all 7 of us.  When it returned in 2007 my insurance took care of the first surgery (neck dissection), but upon hearing of the second required surgery (neck dissection with jaw replacement) my insurance dropped me.  Fortunately, I was able to get disability and medicaid to cover the second surgery.  Unfortunately, disability is so little that we had to sell everything again and move into temporary housing.  The government wont allow me  make more than $900 a month without dropping my disability and medicaid insurance.  However, I need to make much more than that to get out this government assistance trap.  I have 5 kids and need to still pay off old medical bills and get into a place of my own by June of 2009 (when my temporary housing expires).  I believe God will provide a way to cover my nearly $70,000 in medical related expenses.  Due to State and Federal laws this cannot be called a charitable donation.  I have a legitimate service, and you are bidding a rediculous price for this service out of sheer kindness.  Here is my website to learn more about my piano tuning.  www.PaulsPiano.blogspot.com This is what you're bidding on: I will come tune your piano.  You will in addition to the winning bid amount need to pay my expenses to get me to your piano and back home again, unless you are within 60 miles of me.  If your piano is in Utah then transportation arrangements can be worked out between us.  Tuning requires a relatively quiet environment and about 2 hours time. Terms & Conditions:  If you are a considerable distance from me (more than 60 miles), my round-trip travel expenses must be paid by you in advance.  I will tune your piano only.  Your piano must be tunable and I will not be making any repairs to your piano.  Because I am not local to your area I cannot assess your piano's needs or properly estimate any damage or regulation repairs.  It must be assumed that your piano only needs a tuning and that it is tunable at the time I arrive.  Travel arrangements and the winning bid needs to be paid before I come out to your piano.  The winning bid needs to be written out to the PAUL BERG CHARITABLE ACCOUNT and mailed, or paid through PayPal.
