Description
We will erase and secure the data on your hard drive seven times!...  In compliance with the strictest standards  and requirements of FERPA, HIPAA, GLB, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other applicable state and federal privacy regulations including those used by the US Department of Defense, CIA, FBI, NSA, and government organizations.  While your data may not be as highly classified as that of the Department of Defense (D.O.D.) or law enforcement and intelligence agencies, there are regulations with very high fines for releasing  confidential personal data. These data include confidential records, personal related data, health-related information, financial data, passwords, and the like--all of which must be protected from unauthorized disclosure in compliance with the requirements of FERPA, HIPAA, GLB, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other applicable state and federal privacy regulations. The Problem: "Delete" or "Format" is NOT Enough: Information stored on Hard Drives in Surplus Hardware even after you delete may not be erased... 'Deleted' Does Not Mean 'Gone'  The US government and Department of Defense has a standard that requires erasing hard drives seven times writing 0's and 1's to the hard drive each time so that eventually the chances of recovering data are eliminated...When we delete your hard drive with our special dedicated computers and software seven times we issue you a certificate releasing you from any liability for the data on that drive by serial number.  The serial number is hand recorded on your certificate. Before recycling, we make sure your discarded computer system hard drive is completely purged of sensitive information When desktops or laptops are replaced or become obsolete, they are commonly transferred to another department and or disposed of as surplus property. Before transferring or disposing of any computer system, it's important to make sure any sensitive data formerly stored on the system has been completely removed. Non-technical users may assume that simply "deleting" the files on a system's hard drive (or "formatting" that disk) may be sufficient to destroy the contents of that drive or disk. Unfortunately, that is not the case: simply "deleting" files or "formatting" a hard drive will not be enough to definitively destroy information formerly stored on that drive. In fact, deleted files or information on a formatted drive will most likely still be recoverable--which means that private or sensitive data is vulnerable to inappropriate disclosure if special additional measures aren't taken. For example, a recent article (Google "Dumped hard drives tell all" ) reported that 113 of 200 drives purchased on eBay as part of a security vendor's study on disk sanitation still contained recoverable data, including data that in some cases appeared to be confidential or quite personal in nature. If you are transferring or surplussing a computer system, you must secure the data on that machine before transferring or otherwise disposing of that system. The government has internal standards on securing of data that requires formatting seven times to very high standards.  We can do this for you and we can recycle all of your computer electronic equipment and dispose of it in an Environmentally positive way.Contact: Stephen H Robinson 330-806-6879Steps:1: YOU PAY THOUGH EBAY FOR AS MANY HARD DRIVES AS YOU NEED ERASED.2: SHIP THE HARD DRIVE OR EQUIPMENT THAT CONTAINS THE HARD DRIVE TO US AT YOUR EXPENSE.  WE DO HAVE PICKUP SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR A CHARGE.3: WE ERASE THE HARD DRIVE AND ISSUE THE CERTIFICATE GUARANTYING IT'S ERASURE AND RELEASING YOU OF LIABILITY FOR THE DRIVE.     a.] WE RECYCLE ANYTHING ELECTRONIC YOU SEND TO US SO WITH YOUR COMPUTER YOU CAN SEND THE MONITOR KEYBOARD PRINTER ETC.  (WE DO NOT ACCEPT TV'S)4: FOR A CHARGE WE CAN RETURN THE EQUIPMENT TO YOU.  OTHERWISE ALL THE COMPUTER EQUIPMENT GOES TO RECYCLE.  WE DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THE LANDFILL.  100% RECYCLE!
